Sam Pankhurst leaves behind a legacy of bass playing, but those who knew him will also remember his life long affinities with wav file sampling and piano, and how he was never too proud to use on board drum machines. It will not be easy to find another who could approach backing vocals with the same enthusiasm as did our Sam. Recording, production and mastering were all activities Sam loved, and he took to these duties the enthusiasm with which he approached everything in the brief time he was with us.

Skye MacNicol’s drumming will always have a special place in our hearts. Nor will anyone who knew her ever be able to forget her fine violin playing; we can all tell some stories about her on the fiddle! As well, we must with great sorrow farewell her backing vocals.

Gerald Keaney will be remembered for his drumming on Waiting and his exuberant vocals, and all of us here must feel a great sadness that he will sing no more. Fans will also sadly miss his playing of piano and older cheaper keyboards, including his wav file and 8 bit sampling, and the on board drum machines he loved to the end.

Eon Free’s guitar work is a great loss to us all, as is his backing vocals. It will be hard to imagine life without his monotribe playing, but we must all soldier on.

Lilyan Fae's passing has made the world a drabber, sadder place. Her colourful collages and album art were well known to us all, and brought music to life as much as it did life to music. Everyone here will have fond recollections of the first time they saw her work, and the impact it was to have on all of our lives.
